Love all around

Do any of us realize fully how much Christian’s done for us? Seriously, he’s been our youth group pastor for a really really long time; longer than most of us have even been coming to this church. I don’t think any of us fully appreciates all the work he’s put into making the youth group what it is now. After he told us how much he loved us all this past YG, I think it’s time to give him a big round of applause and tell him how much he means to us. I know that Christian has made a huge impact in my life. One of the biggest ways he’s influenced me, I think, is the way that he leads by example. His particular brand of leadership has inspired me to do the same thing in whatever small ways I can.
How about you? Let’s make Christian feel loved by posting about how much we love him and how he’s changed our lives.

Well I started coming to the youth group when I was 14. I didn’t love God and I was an insecure kid; I didn’t obey his commands and I went looking for security in the wrong places. But I held tight to that label–Christian.
It was 9th grade and spiritual renewal week at my school shook me up in a prayer time. Not long after, James Leonardo, ex-neighbor, invited me to youth group. I’m really glad he did. The worship environment blew me away. Humbling frisbee games, accepting people, and a new and exciting God mixed together to form memories I’ll never forget. Two years since.
Christian, thanks for investing so much into the youth group–God has used it to bring me to him and change my life
and somewhere along the way I learned you were a cool guy too. i think it was the corny jokes… lol jk, God bless

AGREED!!! Christian, you have definitely been a huge influence in my life. I’ve told you in what ways already (just read that blessing if you forgot), so I want to thank you. For letting God work through you to change my life, for being willing to teach to me even when it was a sacrifice on your part, and for not giving up on me but tolerating all my notes and emails.

Without you this youth group probably wouldn’t exist and be as awesome as it is today. Coming to youth group has really had a HUGE impact on my life and has really benefited my relationship with God. Thanks so much for all the work you have put into this!

it’s really amazing how much you’ve impacted other people lives as well as my own. Before i came to vcf and the youth group, i was dead and completely away from God. But your influence and the atmosphere of acceptance and love you have created at the youth group was like a lifeline for me. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done!
